main infrastructure
Medicine Park Telephone Company has multiple DS3 backbones to the Internet. These are large pipes for high bandwidth transmission to the Internet world. Our servers all run the linux operating system for better performance and scalability. Our dsl equipment is made by a company named Telstrat, who gives us the most awesome support 24/7, and have not let us down yet. They also update equipment regularly to keep us up on the times. Medicine Park Telephone Company performed an area wide upgrade to our outside plant equipment including the copper to the customer premises, and the fiber optics that make dsl possible. Each customer's speed is tested by me, at their house, to insure that they have a stable connection. Any speed problems usually mean a line problem and must be fixed before it is service affecting. Generally, if the customer is not at 100% the day I install, they are not charged until I am through with my work to their line.
